About
Operators First. Owners for the Long Term.
Who We Are
Nellis Holdings, LLC is a privately held acquisition and operating company formed by Jeff Hollenbeck to acquire and operate established businesses for the long term.
Owners who have spent decades building a company are not simply looking for a buyer. They are looking for someone they can trust with their employees, their customers, and the name on the door.
That is the role we intend to fill. We are not a fund working against a five-year clock, and we are not assembling businesses to resell. Nellis Holdings is built to be a long-term owner, led by an operator who has spent his career running businesses from the inside.

Leadership
About Jeff Hollenbeck
Jeff Hollenbeck is a senior operating executive and entrepreneur who has spent his career leading and growing established businesses.
Jeff has held senior executive responsibility within a nine-figure operating platform and across individual business units operating at eight-figure scale.
His work has spanned multi-location operating leadership, P&L responsibility, organizational strategy, operational turnarounds, leadership development, capital allocation, financial discipline, customer relationships, and complex service and asset-based operations.
His operating background is in trucking, logistics, warehousing, fleet maintenance, brokerage, driveaway, bulk transportation, and specialized transportation. That work has been hands-on: pricing, cost control, safety, customer retention, acquisitions, and the patient effort required to build teams and systems that hold up over time.
Jeff completed his first business acquisition at age 20, before forming Nellis Holdings. He acquired a towing and transportation company through a creative seller-financing structure, then operated it, made it more organized and professionally run, and later sold it back to the original founder.
That early experience taught him the practical realities of owning a privately held company: managing employees, serving customers, honoring seller-financing obligations, and improving operations without losing what made the business work.
Jeff began as an entrepreneur, founding and building several businesses before moving into senior corporate leadership. That path gives him a perspective many buyers lack: he understands ownership from the founder's side of the desk and execution from the operator's.
Named one of Heavy Duty Trucking magazine’s Emerging Leaders in 2021.
Jeff will lead each acquisition directly, from the first conversation with a seller through the transition and the years following closing.
That same operating experience is also available on a selective basis through advisory and litigation-support engagements.
Purpose
Why Nellis Holdings
Nellis Holdings exists to give business owners another option: a buyer whose focus is operating the business rather than reselling it or extracting a short-term return.
The work itself is straightforward. Protect what already works, correct what does not, and build carefully for the long term. In practice, that means preserving the culture, the customer relationships, and the employees who make the business what it is.
Region & Community
Rooted in the Great Lakes
We are based in Erie, Pennsylvania, with a preference for businesses located within approximately two hours of Erie. We are also within a short drive of Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Buffalo, and this region is where we live, work, and are focused on investing.
Select opportunities outside the preferred radius may be considered when capable local management is in place and the business does not require daily on-site ownership.
We believe in supporting the communities we will operate in. Strong businesses make for strong communities, and we take that responsibility seriously.
Principles
How We Operate
Respect the history
The name on the door, the customer relationships, and the reputation are among the most valuable assets a business has.
Listen first
The employees who run the business every day understand it best, so we learn before we change anything.
Take care of the team
We invest in the employees who make the business work, with clear expectations, meaningful training, and real opportunity.
Keep decisions clear
Sound decisions require clear ownership, so we define who is accountable and what we are measuring.
Bring discipline, not disruption
Stronger systems, better reporting, and sound financial habits, introduced without breaking what already works.
Grow deliberately
Growth is funded properly, aligned with what customers actually need, and built to last.
Stay close to customers
Customers are the reason the business exists, and we protect the trust and service they count on.
